Flooring Installation

We offer a wide range of flooring options when it comes to installation, including hardwoods, engineered, luxury vinyl planking and laminate. We work with both residential and commercial clients to install flooring for new construction or include demolition to remove your existing floors and install something new. Take a look at what each type of flooring has to offer to see whats right for you.

Site Finished Hardwoods

Site-finished hardwood floors are wood floors that are installed, sanded, and finished on site after they have been installed in a home. This type of hardwood flooring offers a number of benefits:

  1. Customization: Because site-finished hardwoods are sanded and finished on site, they can be customized to the specific needs of the homeowner. This includes the color, sheen, and texture of the finish.

  2. Durability: Site-finished hardwoods are known for their durability and longevity. The finish is applied in multiple layers, which helps protect the wood from wear and tear.

  3. Repairability: If site-finished hardwoods are damaged, they can be sanded down and refinished, rather than needing to be replaced.

  4. Aesthetic appeal: Site-finished hardwoods offer a natural, traditional look that can enhance the aesthetic appeal of any home.

  5. Value: Site-finished hardwoods are a high-quality flooring option that can increase the value of a home.

Site-finished hardwoods do require more time and labor to install, as the sanding and finishing processes are done on site. However, many homeowners believe that the benefits of site-finished hardwoods outweigh the additional cost and time required for installation.

Pre-Finished Hardwoods

Pre-finished hardwood floors are wood floors that have been sanded, finished, and packaged at the factory before they are shipped to the retailer. These floors are ready to be installed as soon as they are delivered, which makes the installation process faster and more convenient.

Some advantages of pre-finished hardwood floors include:

  1. Quick and easy installation: Because the finishing process is done at the factory, pre-finished hardwood floors can be installed more quickly than site-finished hardwoods.

  2. No dust or fumes: The sanding and finishing processes generate dust and fumes, which can be inconvenient and potentially harmful to homeowners. With pre-finished hardwood floors, these processes are completed at the factory, so there is no dust or fumes in the home.

  3. Increased durability: Pre-finished hardwood floors are finished with multiple layers of polyurethane, which makes them more resistant to wear and tear.

  4. Limited customization: While pre-finished hardwood floors offer a wide range of color and style options, they are not as customizable as site-finished hardwoods, as the finishing process cannot be changed once the floor is installed.

Pre-finished hardwood floors are a good option for homeowners who want the convenience of a fast and easy installation process and the durability and low maintenance of a factory-finished floor.

Engineered Hardwoods

Engineered hardwood floors are a type of wood flooring that is made up of multiple layers of wood. The top layer is a thin layer of hardwood, while the layers below are made of plywood or another type of wood.

Engineered hardwood floors have a number of advantages over solid hardwood floors:

  1. Stability: Because they are made up of multiple layers of wood, engineered hardwood floors are more stable than solid hardwood floors. They are less prone to warping and expanding in high humidity environments.

  2. Versatility: Engineered hardwood floors can be installed over concrete or other types of subfloors, while solid hardwood floors can only be installed over wood subfloors.

  3. Durability: The multiple layers of wood in engineered hardwood floors make them more resistant to wear and tear.

  4. Cost: Engineered hardwood floors are generally less expensive than solid hardwood floors.

  5. Easy to maintain: Like solid hardwood floors, engineered hardwood floors can be sanded and refinished. However, because the top layer is thinner, they can only be sanded and refinished a limited number of times.

Engineered hardwood floors offer the beauty and warmth of natural wood, but with increased stability and versatility. They are a good choice for homeowners who want the look of hardwood floors but have concrete subfloors or are concerned about humidity.

Luxury Vinyl Planking

Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring is a type of vinyl flooring that is designed to mimic the look of hardwood. It is made up of multiple layers, including a wear layer, a design layer, and a backing layer.

LVP flooring has a number of advantages over traditional hardwood floors:

  1. Durability: LVP flooring is resistant to scratches, dents, and stains, making it a good choice for high-traffic areas or homes with pets.

  2. Water resistant: LVP flooring is water resistant, making it a good choice for bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas where moisture is present.

  3. Easy to install: LVP flooring is easy to install, as it can be clicked together and does not require glue or nails.

  4. Low maintenance: LVP flooring is easy to clean and maintain, requiring only regular sweeping and mopping.

  5. Cost: LVP flooring is generally less expensive than hardwood flooring.

LVP flooring is a good option for homeowners who want the look of hardwood but need a more durable and water-resistant flooring solution. It is also a good choice for those who are looking for an affordable and easy-to-install flooring option.

Laminate flooring is a good option for homeowners who want the look of hardwood or natural stone but need a more durable and budget-friendly flooring solution. It is also a good choice for those who are looking for an easy-to-install flooring option.
